Veteran Services

Support those who fought for our freedom.

Origin SC is dedicated to improving the lives of our local veterans. While all of our programs are open to veterans, we make a special effort to thank them for their service with the programs listed below.

Financial Education & Coaching

As part of our efforts to improve the lives of veterans, we work with them through our Financial Education & Coaching program. We believe it is critical that they gain control over their financial future. Our licensed staff in the Financial Education & Coaching division of Origin SC helps them create and stick to a budget, break the chains of debt, and plan for the long-term. If you or a loved one are a veteran who could benefit from our services, please contact us today!

One Less Homeless Vet

In 2009, we began assisting local veterans with rental assistance to help them avoid becoming homeless. However, our funding is limited to rent and utilities, and it is disheartening to welcome a vet into an empty home.

We want to do more, and you can help us do just that with One Less Homeless Vet

Supportive Services for Veteran Families

We have partnered with One80 Place [formerly Crisis Ministries] to assist very low-income veterans in the Charleston Tri-County area who are currently homeless or need assistance to avoid homelessness. Eligible veterans are assisted with securing and maintaining housing through supportive services and rental assistance. The goal is to help veterans reach financial stability and self-sufficiency.

If you are a veteran in need of housing assistance, please call the SSVF information line at 843.737.8389 or contact Elizabeth Wincenciak, Homeless Prevention Manager.

Testimonials

"I've got God first and foremost to thank...[but] I just want you to know I thank you very much for helping me get there. Know that all the work that you do doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated because the good Lord knows that I've not only noticed it, but have also greatly appreciated what you've done for me."
